I know that this is very far in the future and that they should put all their effort into Nosferatu, but I would be thrilled if oyu considered taking up my proposed mod for Unreal Tournament 2007. You must have heard terrifying estimates of the cost for licensing Unreal Engine? Fear not, all you need to do is buy UT2k7 and wait ofr the SDK.

If we do decide to make another game / mod after this, we certainly won't guarantee it'll be an FPS. Actually it probably won't be.

Not quite.

They're the most popular genre. I think RTS is next.

That's the general idea.
Fear just wants his halo clone mod to come to life, asap. That's why he's posting this, and that's why hes trying to warp the game

http://steampowered.com/status/status.html

That's narly 250,000 players and that's just Valve's games. FEAR has 310 servers currently up, which means roughly 3110 players. Halo 2 pushed well over 2 million units in reatil. Half Life 2 also sold over 2 million copies. Thre are severla pmore popular franchises which sold immense numbers of units, but I think you get the point.

Just look around the internet. The sheer amount of anticipation for FPS games is unparalleled. Do you see people going "OMfG!! I caent w4it for t3h flight simu7ator!!!!11" No. Reletively speaking, no one gives a shit about flight sims, racing games, and those retarded little hex based war games. Uhm, yeah, there's RPGs but very few of their sales even, make it close to 1 million.

What do you think how many WoW Servers are on at the moment?
How many units were sold of this?
How many of this korean mmorpgs?

Anothr question what are the most beloved games over there in asia, where the markets of games are getting bigger and bigger?
As far as i know (no statitistics and so on) MMORPGs and RTS's....

MMORPGs are by far more popular than FPS. Just look at all the hype that was going on about the release of WoW, or all the gamers of Guild Wars. Also, there were countless people anticipating the release of Oblivion. Now if you count all the free/open beta asian MMORPGs that have millions of players, I'd say the MMORPG is taking over.
