Vampire Skills ?

I still think a skill that would either increase the damage a vampire can take would really fit in. Im not talking about just extra HP like the blood rage gives you.

It would almost be like temporary Armor or Kevlar. The Vampire activates Fortitude or whatever you want to call it and spends like 40 blood points. The next damage he takes up to 40 will be negated and then he starts taking normal damage.

This could be done with a strength skill and a speed skill. Spend 40 blood and the next hit you do does +40 dmg (not necessarily 40 but you get the idea). Or spend 40 Blood and you move twice as fast for the next 40 feet or whatever.

This is what I think would give the most balanced, yet realistic abilities most vampires seem to have. Quick bursts of Speed, Strength, and Damage taking at the expense of blood.

Just a couple of ideas that poped into my head while reading through the posts...

About the Mind Control: I think it could be interesting to give the slayers controls to the vampire (all of them or just aiming and shooting) without giving him the view of the slayer. ie: the vampire controls the slayer in a distant 3rd person fassion, making it difficult to aim properly.

Feign Death: this could be quite useful as the slayer may assume the vampire is vulnrable and move in for the kill, only to find a vampire ready to strike. Could be a great skill to use after getting shot a couple of times.

PS: big fan of the concept. :D

If you can't get any blood as vampire, you should freak out and become stronger etc etc blah blah blah...

something passive like ... vampires get 15 % of regeneration for each secound they spend on dark and -15 % into the light dont think rates be should be bigger...

and also something like a vampirik gaze ...when a vampire sees a human he heals him self faster due hes motivated to drink blood or somehintg like that :D

If you want bullet time, just play a laggy server, lol.

I would like to see a "raise the dead" ability. When the vampire uses the skill, the area of the map where he stands becomes an affected area (think proximity mine). If a slayer walks into the affected area, hands reach out of the ground and hold him there for a period of time or until he is able to struggle free. Perfect for ambushes. Perhaps it should only be available for use where there occurs soil textures or in graveyards.
