Whatever.

I expected a more excited responce to this thread.

So, ehre's how I think it should work in Nos. When you select your weaopn, a diagram pops up that higlights all the hardpoints for attachments. You can click on the hardpoint and a little menu pops up showing you all the available attachments.

Will take quite a while before you get into the game then... I want to grab a gun (or sharpen my nails) and join the fray, simple as that.

Wasn't there the idea to make special equipment for weapons 'earnable' by getting points for teamplay and so on?
So i would like to hear how this exactly is planend?

Like BF2, connecting to some Account server and getting there points, so that you could choose your weapon even before joining and then having another 'button' for opening up in game a weapon menu.
Or is this data stored on the (hopefully) lot servers, so that you would have different levels on the different servers and would have to choose weapon and so on in the actual game?

Actually, all the data is stored on a master server as far as Ghost has it planned.

That's pretty cool (but i'm sure i read this before... damn... *G*)...

So it would be nice being able to choose your weapon + customization before joining a server, but being able changing it when you're on the server....

Just don't dare to at Matrix philosophy.

Whatever is often used to avoid a potential flameware, whic this board has seen enough of... Believe it or not.

Well, as someone else here said, players don't want to interupt their, uh, playing (wow that sounded so George Bush.) Only letting you customizae your weapons att he beginning of a gamewill make you actually think about your decisions.

Yeah, I figure Nosferatu will be using the "cash for kills" econamy. Weapons cost money and so do attachments.

Nope. Might add an extra 20-15 seconds at max. And people won't want to change their configuration every round.

On a related note, I suggest Nosferatu be based on a round system, where people playersplay a certain amount of rounds and then return to the lobby, where they can leave or whatever.

I think that weapon cusimization will make for an unfare advantage. a rifle with a shotgun attachment? tell me how a vampire is going to get past that. sure ok, maybe they can sneak up on the slayer, but anyother way is going to be impossible.

a lobby? if i wanted to leave the game I would just quit; otherwise I want to keep playing the game. It going to be bad enough waiting after I die.

Stop trying to turn it into Warrock?

Since when did implementing one feature from Warrock constitute "turning it into" Warrock.

Many other games use the lobby system.

The lobby is very convenient, because, after the round it gives players time to reminisce and to request changes to the server options, something which there is very little time for, in-game (with you having to stay alert constantly.)

Speed and aerobatics.

Since you've came here you've been trying to change every aspect of this game.

Now how about this one.

You shut up and crawl back into the hole you came from and let the dev team do the game the way THEY want to make it. If you so desperately want to make your pseudo-perfect game hire a team and pay them to do what you want.
