yay! there is hope!

now I just hope that I can find something I can do and enjoy doing it at the same time so I can help you guys. I can model, but I find it to be a chore.

although...

what mapping program are you guys using again, and how can I get my hands on a copy?

Ya, but if ya really want to strive for originality, start looking around for fresh places to terrorize,
allow me to explain what I mean: Many horror based mods use haunted houses, cemetaries, and labs for levels. They are the classics.
Few mods try to reinvent the way we look at our daily lives. With a mod like this, you have the potential to turn an ordinary crap-hole into a horrific horror setting. (Example: The gas-station/ corner-store 7-11 can become the setting for a violent shoot-out between Vampire and Slayers. A playground can become a hunting ground for vamps. Hell, even a fitness center can become fair game for vamps (especially with all those strong, athletic, nubile women working out *drool*). Then you got your bars/ nightclubs, Hospitals, Asylums, Movie Theaters, Restaurants, Schools, Sewers, Church, Suburban Cul-De-Sac, and other haunts. Your creepy neighbor house? Turn it into a map. That freaky looking amusement park? Turn it into a map. That rusty looking abandoned slaughter house? Turn it into a map. All of these places we often overlook in our daily lives have the potential to become real objects of horror and terror, if done properly.

a highway would be too linear unless it had areas surrounding it, like a wooded area or a really bushy field.

i mean if each map has a story it would be like..

vamps were reported off of 205 and so they went there to hunt em or soemthing..

The Circus of Death *laughs* erm... yeah i also think that the maps should have the feeling of some background story....
A german poem (part) by myself

Ich dacht’ ich war dir nah,
doch warst du niemals wirklich da.
Dacht ich hätte dich verstanden,
doch hat dieses Verstehen nie bestanden. [...]

actually I had a similiar idea quite some time ago.

A regular carnival and a twisted dark version connected via portals in the form of tears hanging in the air (like dimension tears or something).

You're a mad genius..

:)

Thinking of some off the top of my head

- How about an old school.. Complete with blood writing on the blackboards and whatnot..

- Rooftops could work quite well

Oh I don't know.. I'll think of some later.

Might even try mapping myself, it is easy to get the hang of?

I was thinking about a "bat-cave". A map that was all underground like where you would find vamps hiding out durring the day. The last few sceenes in Underworld Evolution would be a cool base idea.

Once your familiar with the editor its pretty straight forward. If your genuinely interested I can point you to some basic 'learning-the-editor' type tutorials. Once you get the fundamentals down, its easy and fun.
