Postby Ghostface on Sat Oct 28, 2006 8:39 am

Hey,

I am thinking about doing a Singleplayer, possibly Coop addon later on.
You know with dialogues, quests and stuff.

Any ideas suggestions comments or anything you would like to see or not see ?

actually I forgot to mention that all we would simply reuse all the weapons and skills already coded for the multiplayer part of the game.

Sounds awesome :)

Would you play as hunter or vampire? Or could you play as either? That would rock.

Different ways to solve some problems would be neat. For example:
Vampire Coop: All vampire startign in cages in some 'research' facility of some hunter organization.
Having to break free at first, i don't know, maybe being able due to some energy suply problems of the cages (scenario during the time while america had serious problems with their energy net ?). So only a to weak power generator working. Either way the could simply crash the cages (getting no more serious energy damge) but therefore activating the still working alarm system or using some vampire power to open the cage/disabling the alarm system.....

Puzzle where real time work is needed to solve it...

Enemys where you're able to pass by sneaking or are even forced to sneak... and such things...

But even a simply 'kill frenzy'-coop sounds funny :)

doch warst du niemals wirklich da.
Dacht ich hätte dich verstanden,
doch hat dieses Verstehen nie bestanden. [...]

I like the idea of having puzzles and/or stealth missions instead of just making it a shoot-em-up. I feel like it would add some depth to the game.

It might be neat to make the charachter sort of a vampire/human hybrid with the strengths of both. This way you wouldnt have to choose which race to do the SP for, or make different versions of SP for vampires and human. This way you could also have the charachter fighting both humans and vamps, so there would be a greater variety in terms of enemy.

But then again, making different versions of SP for either race would add a lot to the replayability factor.

or make it like Q4....you start out human but end up getting bit by a vampire 8) !!!!!!

i really like the idea of adding a stealth aspect to the game wither it be for the SP or the MP. Sneaky vampires in the dark is just a really cool idea. No need to be extremely stealth like in Splinter Cell but sneaky enough that you can get behind people for an easy kill/bite.

I like that idea. starting human, then going vamp...

and a slight stealth factor is good too (kinda like in RTCW, it's optional, but makes it a helluva lot easier)

Would be really nice with some single player in nos too, you should definately add it, but of course you should first focus on the mltiplayer

btw. I was thinking about doing a free-roam style game kinda in the spirit of vampire bloodlines. With small city parts where you can run around go to clubs/bars/apartments, get quests from npcs and stuff.

Not too linear you know.

Oh and work on singleplayer/coop nos will start soonest next year (no way before we launched the closed beta around x-mas)
