Favourite Book

Postby Witzzard on Sun Jul 16, 2006 7:26 pm

Just wanted to know what's your favourite book.

I would't go for 'Vom Kriege' from Carl von Clausewitz, i didn't finished it yet, but as far as i read it, it's really interesting...

In the field of fictional storys it would be
'Night Watch' from Terry Pratchett
A german poem (part) by myself

Ich dacht’ ich war dir nah,
doch warst du niemals wirklich da.
Dacht ich hätte dich verstanden,
doch hat dieses Verstehen nie bestanden. [...]

I'm not one that really enjoys reading books, but there was this one book in Russian that I really enjoyed when I was like 4 or 5. I think it was called Nyeznaika Vsolnechnom Gorodye or something along those lines. Translates into 'Nyeznaika (the main character's name) In The Sun City'. It was a pretty long book for a 4 year old, I think about 300 pages in rather medium sized font.

I'm not much a reader either.

If it's not set in the far future or it's not enormously cynical I won't even go as far as picking it up.

Hm, the books of "The master of horror" (H.P Lovecraft) are one of my favorites too. Anyone else who watched the new Cthulhu black-white movie (2005)?

Personally, I hated the Harry Potter books.

How the hell did something like that become e a fad.

"Oh shit, Harry, it's a 5,306 ft. tall monster."

"It's all good, Hermyone (how ever the fuck you spell her name), I've got an ideal spell ideal for every imaginable situation!"

The British chicks were the only redeeming quality in the movies.

No, dumbass, I was referring to the movies. Many of the girls are over 18.

AHAHAHAHAHAH!!!

Emma Watson, the girl who plays Hermiony is only 16.

So unless you were talking about those 40+ year old actors that played the teachers, you've just proven yourself a complete and utter jackass. GREAT GOING CAP'N SMART!

There were other chicks in the movie, besides the main characters and the 40 year old ones.

*Boom* Oh shit, what was that noise?
