Well, if it isn't me again. This week's update is full of me, so you're probably swallowing the suicide pills as you read this. Fear not, for the last thing you'll see is this, yay... right, enough of that crap.

I've been sort of busy this week, but i've had loads of free time, what with me finishing school for a while, with something like a 10 week break until I start sixth form (college, in a way, if you're not sure).

Also, I got a new monitor recently. Well, it's not new, my mum's workplace is throwing out the old monitors since they're getting replaced by those flatscreen things, so I got one of the old-ish ones. It's not bad, the maximum resolution and refresh rate are a bit crappy, but it's a lot better than my old one, which was sort of dark, and made my skins look darker and more contrasted than they actually were. Wasn't good to find out all my skins looked crappier (too bright and low contrast) than I thought they were, so i've been going back to a few and fixing them up, including the Thompson as you've probably noticed.

Just after getting this new monitor, azelito threw the Holy cross files at me, violently insisting that I skin it. While simultaneously begging for mercy, I skinned it, and secretly put some hilarious text on it while I was at it, in something that's apparently some kind of Celtic font. Inscribed on the cross is things like 'vamps go home' and 'azelito pwns u to the max', which I found mildly amusing though I say so myself.

Uhh, what else have we got. Well, I got bored and made a mind-bogglingly awesome desktop picture out of renders of the Thompson. but I forgot to remind (read: slap) Ghostface to put it into today's update, i'll probably post it in the news topic or something. If people like it, I might do it again next week with something else.
Ah, and the USC's released too, which i'm sure you're ecstatic about. Thanks to the work of Soul Slayer, there's a compile for CSS in there too, for your UMP or SG550 slot. I'm sure you'll have fun with it.

At least, I hope you do.

And if you don't, THEN I'LL...

Well, this week was fun. This week's update came a bit late (and last week's was non-existant, the team was really too busy) which was partly my fault, but I hope it's worth it, with the USC soon available for CounterStrike 1.6, CZ, and Source, as well as the Half-Life mod, The Specialists.
Getting all this ready took longer than expected; we'd originally planned to release the compiles along with its render, but a bug here and there with the compiles, and with Logger kindly making a scope and silencer (mainly) for the TS compile and me having to skin them slowed things down a bit. Then, as he'd only modelled the scope, and there wasn't a mount, I had to throw one together, do a bit of tweaking and skin it. I'm quite happy with the end result. :)

I've been carrying on with Logger's Glock 17 too, which is slowly getting better.

Non Nosferatu-wise i've been messing up uvmaps elsewhere too, I recently started skinning a Galil (darkstorn's old model) and an M4A1 (soul_slayer's new model.)

Also, against my better judgement (what with how busy I am atm) I joined the TacOps: Source team, obviously as a skinner. They seem content with the fact I haven't shown them any new progress lately. :o

So that's okay. I really will have to get the other skins i'm doing finished one day..

Had lots of exams recently too, so any bits of free time left get taken up by revision and stuff.

Oh, also, I recently applied for a Call of Duty clan, Ranger Squad (R*S[AKA]) and my older brother (Will) is in there too, which means I had to buy CoD:UO for myself for the CD key, which set me back £15 (about $30), which isn't too bad. Seems a bit of waste really since i've already completed the game. :p

update: I got into the clan, woot.

That's enough of me for this week, i'm sure you've had enough already and are gibbering like a fool and stuff. Byee!

I thought about doing this a while ago, for some reason i've only done it now.

Alrighty. So as you probably know, i'm a skinner, but unlucky for you, you won't be allowed to see any skin pictures in here. :) 'Then what's the point?', I hear you say. Well... you get an idea when you'll next see a skin from me, and you get the chance of seeing what other stuff i'm up to. ;)

For the last few weeks i've been sort of busy, not all of it being because of Nosferatu-related stuff. For the next 5 weeks i've got a few exams dotted around the calendar, so i've got to revise for them.

I've also been finishing an AK47 skin for a guy named steel. It's taken me ages to do since every few weeks i'd go back to it and say, 'maybe I can do better trying that bit again', and then I end up redoing just about everything, heh. Anyway, here's some pics of it, i've shown them around in IRC once or twice maybe.

I'm quite proud of it. :P

So as well as that, i've been skinning logger's H&K USC. It's going well, though it needs a bit of work here and there, and some bits are still unskinned. I recently added a slight blue tint to it, as seen here, but less bright. I can't wait to finish it and show you people, but like I said, i've got other things to finish. (not that I dislike skinning it, just some things are a bit more important.)

p.s: logger is a modelling god, he somehow manages to have awesome looking models with all kinds of details and low polycounts.

I've also been UV-mapping Pallokallo's AK47, which is turning out to be a mixed experience. Learning to UVmap can be fun, but frustrating when you can't get things right. I did a very quick test skin for the parts i'd done, and there's no stretching, which made me happy. :D

Also, while I was on the IRC channel, Gator69 asked if i'd mind doing one or two freelance skins for TrueCombat. I decided it'd be a good idea, so now i'm skinning their P90. I've only done the stock area atm, only about 10 minutes work in there so it's not much yet.

I'm skinning Logger's Glock 17 too, which is turning out fine. While messing around with the layer options in Photoshop, I 'accidentally' managed a silver slide version... ;)

Ack, this turned out bigger than expected. If you've made it this far, and read all of it, have a cookie.
