Hard on the limit...

Postby Ghostface on Sun Jan 30, 2005 9:51 pm

Its the (very) end of the week and a new update is here (I know we have been very hard on the limit this time, but there are still 7 min. left of this week).
First as usual 2 new renders, featuring the Mac11 and the Remington 870.

But theres more, people asked for it, so here it is, a video of the engine demo map used for the latest ingame screenshots.
Also showing the new WeatherFX. I know there might be too much lightning but you better want the video now with unrealistic lightning, instead of waiting another day right ;)

I know I said the shop will be filled during the next days, although school kept me busy last week so I havent had too much time. I finished all the shopcode changes today, and I promise that the shop will be filled tomorrow at the latest, except some cool stuff like new videos, ingame pics, and concept art.

Anyway have fun with the pics and the video.

Edit: joeljkp mailed me that he converted the video to theora, check here

Great video! I was hoping too see some gameplay, but this is just as good. Seeing that the mirrors and video actually work is pretty sweet.

I'd like to see the reference pic you used for the 870. It doesn't look like one I've ever seen. The ejection port looks really weird. The pump section also looks odd. The back section is really boxy and square. But, there are many 870 variations, and if I see the pic of the one you based it on, my compaints will be false. ;)

lol

btw. I did that model a long time ago (actually it was the first model for Nosferatu), I mostly refered to the navy seals quake3 mod remington 870. Azelito corrected it (mesh wise), so if somebody wants to complain about inaccuracy dont blame azelito ;)

Wow, that scene of the game shown in the video is looking pretty good. The weapon models are nice and seem to be modeled authentically. But how about some color for them?
