Satan

Postby Ghostface on Mon Dec 05, 2005 11:50 pm

The development and progress of nosferatu is still steady and good. After I pretty much finalized the new weapon system (which includes animation, managment, effects, etc.) more and more weapons are coming ingame.
Today we will show you the sawed off Remington 870 animated by Flakk. Apart from that the p22 (shown last week) is shown in action in both regular and iron sight mode.

While most of our weapons are already modelled, it sometimes happens that a new one gets added to the already big arsenal of nosferatu guns. Today it's the M29 Satan (yes its really called Satan) modelled by FraGGer.
On another note I somehow missed to mention the really interesting interview with me, over at gamequarter.be, in the last news post - sorry about that.

More over SoulEscape joined the team as a sound designer. He's a pro, having worked on the commerical game Pariah before, and will surely produce some excellent soundFX for Nosferatu.

Anyway enjoy our exclusive x-mas webdesign at http://www.nosferatuthegame.com/ and feel free to check out my .plan update as well as FraGGers.

Btw. before anyone complains the bullet decals are no way near being final.

Joygasmic screenshots there. The game looks absolutely awesome so far. And I love that revolver model, thumbs up Fragger.

And awesome job on the Christmas layout. Looks great guys.

And welcome SoulEscape. Looking forward to see some progress in the SFX department, hasn't been any shown in the past updates for a long time.

These screens are really good-looking. Also the Christmas-design is good, i think. But I hope it won't be there until March  . I must confess that "Satan" is a relly good-fitting name for a gun in a vampire-slayer-game. Was the name yours' idea or is this the original name form the real weapon?

tru-sight

Postby Sawyer on Tue Dec 06, 2005 5:18 pm

I just realized, by seeing the screenshots, that Nosferatu is gonna have tru-sight. Me-likey that lots. Keep up the great work!

Just a word on the iron sights - If you use them you will walk slower, zoom in a bit, the accuracy will go up and the recoil down.

However you aren't forced to use them and still get a regular crosshair.
