Real Vampires

Well a vampire game without vampire section ? Can't be, so everything (non game related) vampire goes here.

didn't they have the 'vampire-killing rituals' before that Stokes guy wrote the book Dracula?

Well we all know they had witch hunting rituals; I think 700 women were killed in Norway alone... worrying :?

hmmmmm, one thing is a bit strange/odd or scaring: they even mention in Japanese (or was it chinese?) old lore/legends about vampires...

and one way to run out a vampire was to throw a sack of rice on the floor/ground, so the vampire had to count all the rice (might take a while).

Have to check if there is anything about Vampires in the Mayan or Inca civilisations...

Could be a nice place to send our slayers for a purge ^_^

No jokes, the broadcast advertisement of HG Wells' famous book (war of the worlds *cough*) spread a wave of terror in the states, because people thought it was a breaking news ^_^

You must remember that this was at a time when many people's only source of connection to the outside world was their radio. If you've ever heard a recording of the drama, it is at first presented quite like a real news broadcast, so it's quite easy to imagine people taking it seriously.

And then theres the whole deal with psychic vampires, gothic people who drink blood and of course, vampiric serial killers.
Remember Fritz Haarmaan ( The Vampire of Hanover)?
Somehow, that case in Romania doesn't really surprise me, since around the world many different cultures retain their ancient protection rituals against vampires and other evil spirits.
