Who here has played Vampire Slayer for HL1?

Well a vampire game without vampire section ? Can't be, so everything (non game related) vampire goes here.

I did play it alot, but when Steam came: no more playing HL and its related mods for me...
It was very fun being the vampire and leap round the slayers and hit them in the back :P

All though there were those lone slayers who could manage kill 5-7 vampires who were after him... respect for them I say

Why does everyone hate Steam? Even though it works fine for me almost all the time, at least you'll know that if Steam doesn't work well for you, Valve is constantly improving it.

steam makes once so simple things complicated and full with problems.

Steam is fine for me when it works, but sadly it doesnt always do...

Consider yourselfs lucky then.. ^_^ Each time I've tried to install
either steam or a new game (like hl2), I've run into problems. Maybe
I'm doing stuff the wrong way. :P

Anyway, nice to see so many have played this game. Makes me feel
right at home.

okay, I'll just have to post it also into this forum... *sigh*
Well, when Won was up and fine, I had no problems whatsoever and pings around 100 (which is nice).
But then Steam came and kicked Won in the ass, so Won had to go.
So I had no choise but to try Steam out, but nooo, lots of loading times and initializing stuff. Well Im past those things (after several hours though), I joined many different servers: ping over 500 in every game (even had ping of 2000 in one) => Game-play went downhill...

This all ended in that I removed steam and never played HL after that.
okay, I tried to play HL through GIT (Gamer's Internet Tunnel) but with no luck.
(Reason why I ended mapping)

And now I haven't got the "time" or need to try Steam again...

Well, for instance. I ran out of space when I was about to install
Half-Life 2. So I had to move the entire steam folder to another
drive. However, once installed it wouldn't let me register my key.
Don't remember the exact error message, but it took me serveral
hours untill I got it right. (Deleted the clientregistry.blob file if
anyone has the same fault.)

Also, first time I tried installed steam, I had to re-install at least two
times. I guess I could have been unlucky. But still. Precious
hours of my life all for nothing..

I used to play VampireSlayer. I saw "used to" because that was before my broadband line started to become VERY inconsistent. Off and on, off and on every 30 secs.

And, though I doubt you ever saw me, "the_cure".

Dark Paladin
And Shepherds we shall be
For thee, my Lord, for thee.
Power hath descended forth from Thy hand
Our feet may swiftly carry out Thy commands.
So we shall flow a river forth to Thee
And teeming with souls shall it ever be.
